Factors that affect Teeth Whitening Cost in India

  • Dental Surgeon’s Fees

An important expense when it comes to your dental treatment is going to be your dental surgeon’s fees. IndiCure recommends only experienced, skilled, board-certified surgeons who are capable of delivering great results. Although the cost may vary depending on the experience of the surgeon, the results will be amazing.

  • Extent of tooth discoloration

The extent of tooth discoloration can have an impact on their ability to whiten. Teeth with a yellowish hue often respond better to tooth whitening products than patients with teeth with a gray hue or brown hue. Several treatments may be needed to reach a desired shade of white.

  • Type of whitening agent

The type of whitening agent used can make a significant difference in the effectiveness of the treatment. In-office tooth whitening is generally better at whitening teeth in a shorter amount of time than over-the-counter home treatments. This is because the percentage of whitening agents is higher and more concentrated.

  • Type of whitening treatment and sessions

Each teeth whitening procedure has a different timeline that must be followed to achieve an optimal outcome. While in-office whitening can be accomplished in less than an hour, at-home treatments often require days or weeks of daily treatment.

  • Dental Facility

Having your tooth whitening done in an accredited dental facility by skilled and qualified medical staff is a critical factor. Moreover, the geographical location of this facility also affects the initial quote. But, IndiCure provides you with a projected estimate that will be affordable.

  • Additional Expenses

It is very rare for patients who want teeth whitening treatment not to have other treatments done. The more treatments you opt for, the higher the quote. Also, the smile makeover goals differ from person to person. This will also affect the final quote.

What is Teeth Whitening?

Teeth whitening is a cosmetic dental treatment done to improve the appearance of teeth. It is a safe and effective way to color the teeth. It is the most effective way to lighten the color of teeth to enhance the appearance of a smile. Teeth are whitened to remove the effects of coffee, cigarettes, and other substances that permanently stain or discolor teeth.

Tooth discoloration is a change in the colour, transparency and hue of teeth. There are 2 types of tooth discoloration:

Extrinsic Discoloration: Discoloration of external enamel with the use of coke, coffee, tea, other food and drinks that yellow the teeth or habits like smoking.

Am I a good Candidate?

Patients who have healthy and unrestored teeth, as well as good gums, are the best candidates for teeth whitening. Those who have yellow stains on their teeth seem to respond the best to treatment.

Teeth Whitening Treatment Options

There are two major treatment options for teeth whitening:

In-office Whitening: Peroxide gel is applied to the tooth and a laser light apparatus is followed by that to accelerate the whitening process. It can be used for both intrinsic and extrinsic tooth discoloration.

Dentist-prescribed at-home whitening: It consists of gels and strips with a mouth tray. It is a low concentration peroxide of the office version and is applied for 1 hour or throughout the night. It is used for extrinsic discolorations.

How is Teeth Whitening done?

Step 1: First, the gums and lips are covered completely, so that the white mass doesn’t come in contact with them.

Step 2: Now, a special laser lamp is turned on and the dentist puts on the gel. With the light work and the gel, the discoloration and stains on the teeth miraculously disappear.

Step 3: Finally, the protection is removed and you can rinse off!

What is the Recovery after Teeth Whitening like?

Patients who feel sensitivity or pain after laser teeth whitening will recover within two days or a week. Avoid food that is likely to stain the teeth for at least two days and avoid smoking for at least two days. Brushing and flossing regularly will have a positive impact on the teeth.

What Results Can I Expect from Teeth Whitening?

With proper care, the teeth whitening results can last for years without the need for a new sitting. The results may last up to three years. Moreover, the treatment is completely painless and very gentle.
