Dr. Ashok Vaid is the Chairman of the Division of Medical and Pediatric Oncology, Hematology, and Bone Marrow Transplant at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon. He is one of the distinct doctors to be bestowed the Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian award, for contributions to the area of medicine by the President of India in 2009. He is highly respected by his peers and counted amongst the best haematologists in India.

In 1984, he received his MBBS from Jammu University, and in 1993, he finished his DNB in internal medicine and DM Medical Oncology. From 1987 to 1989, he completed his Senior Residency at the Govt. Medical College in Jammu. He also worked as the Head of the Medical Oncology Department at Artemis Health Institute in Gurgaon.
He is a member of renowned organizations such as the Breast Cancer Foundation of India and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of India.
