Dr. Rajesh Mistry has a rich experience of over 35 years in the field of Thoracic and Head & Neck Oncology. Dr. Mistry has initiated the procedure called submandibular salivary gland transfer aimed at preserving the salivary gland functions in the patients undergoing radiation therapy.

He is also renowned for several unique interventions including the one in which he removed the largest cancerous tumor weighing 7.5 kilograms from a teen’s chest. He has a keen interest in clinical research which has made him the principal investigator for several clinical trials in different aspects of lung cancer and esophageal cancer and distinguished him as one of the best oncologist in India.

Dr. Mistry has served as the primary investigator for clinical trials addressing oesophageal (nodal dissection, induction chemotherapy, and a novel method of performing laparoscopic jejunostomy) and lung cancer (PET CT in lung cancer, pulmonary metastasectomy). He has contributed to various book chapters and has written several scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals.
