He worked in alliance with Prof. Mani Menon’s team at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, USA, and had led the way for the world’s first-ever Robotic Kidney Transplant with regional Hypothermia. Dr. Ahlawat was the first one to launch the four successful Urology and Renal Transplant programs in the Country namely; Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Delhi, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, Medanta, the Medicity, Gurgaon, and Fortis Hospitals, New Delhi.
He is an accomplished endo-urologist, a laparoscopic and robotic surgeon who has been honored with the title of Honorary Lecturer by the University College London Hospitals (UCLH), U.K. He has also served at the Board of Directors of Endourology Society and is also the recipient of the President’s Gold Medal conferred to him by USI.
