Dr. Ramesh Makam is a well-known General surgeon with over 30 years of experience. Bariatric surgery, Metabolic surgery, Gastric bypass surgery, hernia repair, and other procedures pique his interest.

He was a member of India’s first bariatric surgery team to conduct the Laparoscopic Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass procedure in the country.

He also founded the Bangalore Endoscopic Surgery Training Institute & Research Institute, which has trained over 600 practicing surgeons from five continents. Dr. Ramesh earned his MBBS and DNB in General Surgery from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute in 1985 and 1990, respectively. Previously, he worked at AV Hospital, BGS Global Hospital, and Vikram Hospital.
