Dr. Hrishikesh Pai is considered as one of the pioneers in the field of Gynecology and IVF having vast experience of more than 26 years in this field and has played a crucial role in the establishment of India’s first Assisted Laser Hatching Unit. Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde, Member of Parliament, presented Dr. Pi with the Rashtriya Ekta Award and the RK Excellence Award for Outstanding IVF Doctor in India. He served as president of the Indian Association of Gynecological Endoscopists and the Mumbai Obstetrics and Gynecological Society.

He is a medical graduate from one of the premier institutes in the country which was followed by MSc (Clinical Embryology & Andrology) at East Virginia Medical School in the United States. He then completed his Fellowship in Reproductive Biology from Melbourne University, Australia, and in obstetrics and gynecology at the Indian College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has also received extensive training in Preimplantation genetics from two of the prominent institutes in the world namely the Az Vub in Brussels and the Verlinsky unit in Chicago.

He has held the director’s position of two IVF centers in Mumbai- one is ‘The Advanced Fertility Centre’ and the other is ‘The Babies & Us Fertility, IVF & ICSI Centre’. He has also contributed to founding the first Assisted Laser Hatching Unit in India which has delivered one of the first laser hatched twins in India in 1999.
