One of the most accomplished and renowned pediatric gastroenterologists and hepatologists in India, Dr. Neelam Mohan has over 22 years of experience and several awards, recognitions, publications and firsts to her credit.

She is an expert in gastrointestinal and abdominal illnesses, endoscopy, and pediatric liver diseases. She is a board member for the International Pediatric Transplant Association (IPTA), the Asian Pan-Pacific Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition (AASPGHAN), and the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenteritis, and Oncologists (IASGO).

She is the first physician in India to begin doing therapeutic endoscopies on newborns. More than 180 publications as well as more than 50 book chapters have been written by Dr. Mohan.

She has received numerous honors and awards, including the DMA Centenary Award, the Swastha Bharat Samman Award from the country’s honorable health minister, the Mahila Sree Award and Gold Medal, the Super Achievers of India Award, the Doctor of the Year Award, the Dr. Sadhana International Empowerment of Women Award, the Dr. M.C. Joshi Memorial Oration, the Eminent Doctor of the Year, the Distinguished Service Award, and the Bharat Gaurav Award. She has received the BC Roy Award, the FIAP Award from the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, and the FACG Award from the American College of Gastroenterology.

She has studied and worked at some of the best medical schools across the world. She did her medical graduation from the renowned AIIMS in New Delhi, followed by Fellowship from AIIMS, and Fellowships from Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Birmingham, UK, Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, UK, International Medical Sciences Academy, Indian academy of Pediatrics, and from the American College of Gastroenterology.
