Dr. Prashant Patil is a renowned Pediatric Endocrinologist with over 34 years of experience in the profession. Dr. Patil’s areas of expertise include Type 1 diabetes mellitus, obesity, metabolic syndrome, and childhood growth abnormalities. He is also highly skilled in treating thyroid disorders, pituitary disorders, delayed growth/puberty.

He has successfully organized and taken part in a number of conferences on pediatric endocrinology as a speaker. In addition to numerous other pertinent issues, he has published numerous research papers on the Bone Health Index (BHI) and its relative measurement in children with GHD and CDGP to evaluate the use of Growth Hormone and Testosterone, respectively.

He is a respected member of the Indian Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology (ISPAE), the Asia Pacific Pediatric Endocrine Society (APPES), the European Society of Pediatric Endocrinology (ESPE), the International Society of Pediatric & Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD), and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP).
