Dr. Ramen Goel is one of the pioneers of bariatric surgery in India. He has a vast experience of more than 33 years. He specializes in laparoscopic gastric band surgery, banded gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, revision bariatric surgery, and a variety of additional treatments.

He was the first surgeon in India to conduct laparoscopic gastric band surgery and banded gastric bypass surgery. He has received specialized training in bariatric surgery from various countries such as France, Australia, Switzerland besides receiving Fellowship, FICS from The International College of Surgeon USA.

He has served as the President of the All India Association for Advanced Research on Obesity and as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Obesity and Metabolic Research. He is invited as faculty at Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education at Mumbai to train practicing surgeons in India.
